Don't Forget! And We Can Help!

Let's Make This Easy

Written by Gayle

Goodbye, Halloween ......  and thus begins the mad holiday dash.  But we don't have to end up with hair pulled out and steam coming out of our ears.  Take a deep breath.  Remember to be thankful--that's why we have this holiday.  And try to simplify.

We can all use a little help to avoid the crazies from time to time, and this is one of them.  So Lassen's has again created for you our Thanksgiving Shopping Guides to help you remember those little things that you just might forget.  How is your supply of butter or paper towels?  Or the big things.  We are now taking orders for our delicious and tender Diestel free-range, hormone- and drug-free turkeys, as well as other options (Tofurkey, anyone?  How about Ham?)

lassensloves.com, Lassen's, Lassens, Thanksgiving+Shopping+Guides

Available in Traditional, Gluten-Free, and Vegan, our guides come with extras such as recipes and tips.  (Want a gluten-free substitute for bread crumbs?  We'll give you some ideas!)

These guides are available at all of Lassen's locations, or you can click on the guides to download and print your own.

And here is another great tip on dealing with that turkey--What do you do if your turkey is done before the guests arrive or before the rest of the meal is ready?  If you leave it in the oven, it will dry out.  If you take it out and wrap it, it will get cold, and possibly dry out.  But here is a fool-proof tip (complements of my SIL Doris):  Wrap the turkey in foil, and place it in an ice chest.  Close the lid, and voila!  The turkey will keep warm and will stay moist and tender!  Problem solved!

Enjoy this wonderful time of giving thanks!  (And we at Lassen's are thankful for all of you!)

Love,

Lassen's
